Marion Mixers Are Custom Designed And Built Per Our Customers' Requirements

Covers and inlets are designed for ergonomics, safety and installation with existing plant equipment. For optimum mixing performance, our application engineers will recommend locations for material inlets. Minor ingredients and hand adds are accommodated with access doors or inlets.

Covers

  • Standard gasketed cover
  • Closes against the flow of material
  • Reduced product pocket above valve
  • Resilient seat for liquid, dust or vacuum
  • Unrestricted product flow
  • Bolted to the mixer trough with a hinged access panel at the end opposite the drive
  • Standard 1/8th sponge rubber gasketing and toggle clamps make the dust cover tight

Grates

  • Laser cut stainless steel safety grates available on sanitary and stainless steel mixers
  • Rugged bar grates are available on carbon steel mixers
  • Electrical interlock devices provided

Doors

  • Pin-style hinge supports door across full width of opening
  • Closed-cell SBR gaskets
  • Counter balanced and/or counter weighted designs available
  • Cylinder actuated covers can be furnished
  • Electrical interlock devices provided
  • Toggle clamps available

Bag Dump Hood

  • Stainless or carbon steel designs available
  • Hood bolted to mixer with integral safety grating
  • Vacuum port and baffled air flow for dust control
  • Hinged door with latch

Limit Switch (Proximity Switches)

  • Activated when the safety grate or cover is lifted
  • For safety shutdown
  • Wired (in the field) to the motor starter to shut off power to the drive motor
  • Provide supplemental protection to be used with "lock-out/tag-out" procedures

Custom Inlet

  • Custom built inlets are designed to interface with the mating equipment on site
  • Options include - square or round flanged piping, dust collection ports, bag dump stations, threaded temperature probes, and pressure relief ports
  • Available with counter balanced covers or cylinder operated covers
